  • Some insurance plans require a referral from a primary care provider. Others allow self-referral.

We accept most major commercial insurance plans and Medicare. Coverage varies by policy, particularly for diagnostic testing and treatment planning.

Before your appointment, we recommend confirming:

    • Whether we are in-network

    • Whether a referral is required

    • Your deductible or co-insurance responsibilities

Our team will submit claims on your behalf, but patients are responsible for understanding their individual benefits.

Self-pay options are available — please contact us for current pricing.

  • Cancer consultations are most productive when we have complete information.

    Please bring:

    • Insurance card

If you need to cancel or reschedule, we ask for at least 24 hours’ notice.

Late cancellations or missed appointments will result in a $75 fee. Repeated missed appointments may limit future scheduling availability.

We understand that unexpected situations arise — just let us know as soon as possible so we can offer that time to another patient.

  • Yes.

We regularly see patients seeking a second opinion after a new prostate, bladder, kidney, adrenal, penile, or testicular cancer diagnosis.

A second opinion can help clarify:

    • The accuracy of the diagnosis

    • Whether additional testing is needed

    • All available treatment options

    • Whether active surveillance is appropriate

If you’re scheduling a second opinion, please bring all pathology reports, imaging results, and prior consultation notes so we can provide a thorough review.

  • We provide consultations, treatment planning, and some specialized minor procedures. We refer you to trusted, well-trained and highly skilled colleagues for major surgery.

For cancer treatment, recommendations are individualized. Depending on your situation, this may involve coordination with surgical centers, oncology specialists, or other facilities.

Our role is to ensure you understand your diagnosis, your options, and the next appropriate steps — clearly and without pressure.

If you’re unsure what type of visit you need, our team can help guide you before scheduling.
